One of my readers asked today if I mix white background fabrics when I'm making my scrap quilts. After my experience with the white and yellow Irish Chain, I try not to use whites from more than one source. At the very least, I make sure to compare them in good light.
Over at Quiltville a while black, Bonnie wrote about how she was happily mixing different shades of muslin, but I don't have the nerve. Or I haven't been working on the right quilt.
